Residents have noticed an infestation of gypsy moths in their trees. After contacting the DNR Forestry Division, the Village was informed that the gypsy moths are cyclical and might be here for a couple of years and then then they will die. They might come back again, but the DNR said that they don't normally kill the trees. If you are concerned about your trees, they suggest placing fertilizer spikes around the base of the trees and watering them at least weekly. They do no suggest any type of spraying.
